PathWays PA is seeking a Director for our Center For Families Program. The Center for Families is a residential facility for homeless mothers and their children. Fifty or more persons reside at the Center at any given time. The CFF staff promotes education, teaches parenting and life skills, fosters self-esteem and moves women towards attainment of their life goals, family well-being and self-sufficiency. This program also promotes the healthy physical, emotional and social development of children through early childhood development programs; enrollment and maintenance of school aged children in the local school system; as well as summer activities and an after-school homework club hosted by volunteer teachers.
The Director of the CFF is responsible for the supervision of Case Managers, Residential Staff, Cook and Maintenance. Ability to monitor building and files to code for inspections and audits. Director will also need to demonstrate some understanding of family homelessness, the child welfare system, effects of trauma, poverty. Appreciation for Diversity in staffing and among clients is required.
Minimum of five years’ experience providing direct services to women and families including individual, family and group counseling in the areas of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and child abuse and two years’ experience in management/program administration and staff supervision. MSW or related Master’s Degree preferred.
Location is not accessible via public transportation, so independent travel is required. On-call position with occasional evening and weekend work.
